Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten B.V. goes for BOOKIT
The Ameland-based Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten B.V. is to upgrade its booking technology with BOOKIT, a state-of-the-art booking system supplied by Hogia Ferry Systems.
On Thursday, July 1, 2010 has Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten B.V. and Hogia Ferry Systems agreed to develop and deliver a new POS and reservation with the latest ICT techniques to handle traffic to and from Ameland and Schiermonnikoog continue to improve.
Hogia Ferry Systems is part of the Hogia Group. This is one of the largest providers of administrative software in Europe and has provided several companies with software. After a careful tendering process Hogia company, which is located in Finland, came out as the best performers.
Wagenborg foresees an increase in e-mail and internet use, alongside the company wants to increase user convenience by combining a number of possibilities such as ticket vending machines and online reservation. Automation must support the quality of the ferry service. The human element remains the basis of handling the traffic flow.
