Reservations
The BOOKIT Reservation application handles different booking types, such as passenger bookings with cabins, seats, vehicles and onboard services, cargo bookings and land bookings for hotels, cottages, connecting transports and events. BOOKIT can also easily manage both multi leg routes and simple round trip routes.
The reservation application offers several different ways of searching for a reservation and all related information, including travel details and payment status, partial payments etc. can be easily presented. In the reservation application, the user can also handle invoicing and cash sales. All transactions are logged for further handling in the administration applications.
With BOOKIT, reservation information is efficiently distributed to all the departments and personnel that require it, including vessels and third party service providers.
Travel Documents
BOOKIT produces all the necessary travel documents, itineraries, confirmations, vouchers and tickets. All customer documents are adapted to the requirements of the ferry operator.
Holiday and travel packages
For a very long time BOOKIT has been famous for its capabilities to manage a full tourism operation including services ashore, accommodation and any type of service you would like to bundle for a holiday package.
Holiday packages are predefined service combinations i.e. a travel package, a holiday package, a cargo package, a combination of any services (internal or external). In BOOKIT there is also simpler no-frills package functionality, resource packages, commonly used for combinations like 2-5 passengers and a car to a certain price.
Applications and functions for holiday bookings and travel packages can be added to the BOOKIT Reservation system in order to speed up the booking process.
Administration applications
The administration applications, e.g. reservation application, finance application, administration application, report application, control all incoming payments, bank payments; transactions at the ticket sales counter and check-in are registered. Outgoing payments, such as hotels, bus connections, guides etc. are also handled and controlled in these applications. Another very important part of the administration applications is the reporting system.
