Once again it’s time for the Autumn conferences for the ferry industry.

Once again it’s time for the Autumn conferences for the ferry industry.

From the 30th of September to the 2nd of October Niclas Blomstöm, Hogia Ferry Systems’ Managing Director, is supporting the Canadian Ferry Association at their annual conference held this year in Whistler, British Colombia.

Ferries are a large part of Canadian life from the East Coast where our customers Bay Ferries, Marine Atlantic and Nunatsiavut Marine operate, across the country on the many lakes, to the west coast where giants, BC Ferries rule the waves.

The topic of this year’s conference is ‘Strength and Resilience: The impact of Canada’s Ferries on Indigenous and Remote Communities’, and they don’t come much more remote than up on the far northeast coast where Nunatsiavut Marine’s MV Northern Ranger runs a summer operation providing a vital link for passengers and freight to these coastal communities.

Following on from the CFOA conference in Canada, Niclas will be Joined by Meri and Jennie in Cancun, Mexico for the 43rd Annual Interferry Conference which is this year being hosted by Ultramar. From the 6th to the 10th of October, professionals from across the ferry community will gather together to discuss ideas, markets and technologies with industry peers.

It always proves to be a lively business and social event. Once again, a world-class speakers program has been assembled that will address current topics and issues relevant to the ferry industry, following the conference theme of Safety, Security and the Environment. These are topics at the heart of not only our industry, but the world at large. To compliment this theme, Hogia Ferry Systems has sponsored The Ocean Clean-up as its contribution to Interferry as a Silver Sponsor.

We look forward to seeing customers, colleagues and friends at both events, and are proud to sponsor both the CFA and Interferry to continue our support for this great industry.
